Επιτέλους η τηλεόρασή μου αποφάσισε να συντονιστεί με το κανάλι της Βουλής. Το αρχείο του καναλιού είναι θησαυρός για κάθε κινηματογραφόφιλο. Τα συγχαρητήρια μου και για την επιλογή τους να αφιερώσουν το χρόνο της απογευματινής ζώνης στον Charles Chaplin (σύμπτωση; πέθανε σαν χθες το 1977) για όλη την τρέχουσα εορταστική εβδομάδα. Οταν ήμουν πιτσιρίκος πίστευα ότι ο Charlot ήταν ένας διασκεδαστικός τυπάκος, ένας κινηματογραφικός κλόουν. Μεγαλώνοντας συνειδητοποίησα ότι ο Chaplin άσκησε κοινωνική κριτική μέσα από τις "χαριτωμένες" βουβές του ταινίες με τόσο ιδιαίτερο τρόπο που ακόμα και σήμερα είναι πολύ δύσκολο για οποιονδήποτε σκηνοθέτη να τον ανταγωνιστεί. Ενδεικτικό παράδειγμα το βιντεάκι από το Modern Times (1936) που ξαναείδα σήμερα μετά από πολύ καιρό. Η σκηνή με τον Chaplin να μπλέκεται στα γρανάζια χαρακτηριστική...

Φίλε, άμα σε ενδιαφέρει, έχω κάτι dvd από τα "ΝΕΑ" με τις ταινίες μικρού μήκους του Τσάπλιν.
